Welcome to Eakin School!

Fairfax EntranceEakin Elementary School of Nashville, Tennessee, offers academic achievement and abundant socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and international diversity in the setting of a historic neighborhood school. Eakin community includes students and families from our zone population as well as students attending by virtue of an out-of-zone lottery that live throughout Davidson County.

A K-4 elementary school, Eakin students attend classes from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. In addition to traditional curriculum, Eakin is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme candidate school.  Eakin also offers enrichment classes for gifted and talented students (Encore), classes for special needs students, technology class in a computer lab, Chinese language and culture, art , music, and physical education classes.
Following the regular school day, the Metro Community Education program offers students additional learning experiences in literacy club, dance classes, tae kwon do and the visual/ performing arts. All of these programs promote the development of social skills and leadership while enabling students to pursue and explore a wide variety of interests. Many times, Eakin teachers facilitate these classes, but community expertise is also utilized.  Eakin gives you the world!
